B2B Exchange

The B2B Exchange is a hub for exchanging data between your ERP system and any other business system (whether your own or your trading partner’s).

Features

Handles a wide range of message types and formats.

Operates in the background with minimum supervision. Exceptions are notified by email to your system administrator. Tools are provided for managing exceptions, correcting errors and resubmitting failed messages.

Highly configurable, allows you to determine what processing is needed for each trading partner and message type.

Supports interfacing between internal systems, with ‘ANY to ANY’ data sources. Task management ensures the integrity of transactions even across heterogeneous systems.

Converts XML messages to or from different XML schemas via XSLT. Encryption via PGP (the US military grade, publicly accessible encryption protocol) is available.

Conversion of your internal product and customer codes (or other code) to or from your trading partners’ equivalents is table-driven.

Interfacing with a wide range of ERP systems is possible thanks to the open architecture. Almost any DLL, Java Class, Web Service or ODBC Data Source can be used.

A wide range of transfer protocols is available, including HTTP FTP, SMTP, SMS and SOAP.

SAP interfacing is specifically available and we have extensive SAP functional and technical knowledge to assist.

Benefits

Users who have already invested in the DBS Portal do not need to make any further investment, or introduce any new technologies in order to implement an electronic document exchange which integrates with SAP and other ERP systems. Because the B2B exchange is part of the DBS Portal, it uses the same hardware and software and integrates seamlessly with the CRM database and other DBS Portal components.

In effect you get two products for the price of one.

Users

B2B Exhange is used by a number of sites as part of their DBS Portal solution.

Cadbury NZ

Cadbury use the B2B exhange to send and receive XML orders, shipping notes and invoices between their Dunedin and Avondale plants and the Foodstuffs Exchange.

These documents flow in and out of their SAP system via CF2SAP.

Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand Engineering Services use the B2B Exchange to load information extracted from their SAP Plant Maintenance system into their instance of the DBS Portal on a daily basis, for sharing with customers via the ANZES Online Portal.

Whitcoulls

Whitcoulls use the B2B Exchange to load their SAP Article list into the Bennetts website.
