SAP ABAP Development

DBS was formed by a group of SAP ABAP developers and consultants who had worked together on one of New Zealand most successful SAP implementations in the late 90’s.

We offer SAP ABAP Development as an integral part of our value proposition, which is that we can build web sites which radically alter the user experience of SAP.

Our ABAP development skills are also offered as "standalone" services for more traditional SAP programming assignments.

We differentiate ourselves as being able to think both outside the SAP square and, when appropriate, inside it.

Assignments

Since forming DBS, we have undertaken numerous ABAP programming assignments for (among others): Zuellig Pharma, Zespri International, Environmental Science, Click Clack, Air New Zealand Engineering Services, Cadbury New Zealand, CenturyTel Inc (USA) and Pacific Gas and Electricity (USA).

These developments cover all the major SAP functional areas plus facets of ABAP programming from simple reports to BAPI and RFC interfaces, dialogues programme and SAP Script. We are conversant with versions of SAP from 3.11 through 4.0, 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 to ECC and have participated in two ECC upgrade projects.

Key Relationships

In 2001 we developed a pioneering web front end to SAP PS for Tourism New Zealand, combining our ABAP with our web development skills.

We went on to build a number of web-based but SAP-integrated workflows for Tourism New Zealand, covering all their main business processes from planning though to purchasing. We are now their designated SAP Application Support Partner and our SLA covers everything from SAP user administration and transports to IMG configuration. We have built a data warehouse for TNZ using ABAP extracts to populate decision cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services.

We enjoy a special relationship with Competitive Edge International (CEI) in Sarasota, Florida. CEI assists organisations to improve their Organisational Project Management Readiness, by assessing capability, developing strategy and implementing SAP-integrated project management solutions. We collaborate with CEI on SAP EPC (Enterprise Project Connection) projects. Our EPC consultants have expertise in all disciplines required to implement EPC.

PS and PM Development Specialists

DBS has been involved in the development of several bi-directional interfaces to SAP Project System and Plant Maintenance over the past decade and we have considerable know-how around the structures in SAP Projects, Networks and Work Orders, to justify our claim to be PS and PM integration experts.
